Q Power (Qld) Pty Ltd is proud to have successfully delivered a solar lighting installation Logan project at Riedel Park, Carbrook, for Logan City Council. This installation was designed to improve safety, sustainability and long-term performance within a public park environment.
As Logan continues to invest in community infrastructure, reliable off-grid lighting plays an important role in supporting safe and accessible public spaces. This solar lighting installation Logan project enhances visibility for pedestrians and park users while aligning with Logan City Council’s commitment to energy-efficient infrastructure.
Solar Lighting Installation Logan – Project Scope
The Riedel Park upgrade involved the supply and installation of a fully integrated solar lighting system built for durability and public use conditions. Importantly, the installation was engineered to support future infrastructure requirements while operating independently from the grid.
Our team managed the supply and installation of:
- A 6m GM mid-hinged galvanised pole with engineered foundation cage
- Sylvania 24W Street LED luminaire with outreach arm
- Stainless steel pole-mounted enclosure with vents, sunshade and secure locking system
- 360W solar panel with mounting frame and MPPT solar controller
- 121Ah lithium battery system with isolators and cabling to the base of the pole
- Non-destructive excavation using a VAC truck for safe installation
- Concrete foundation works (wheelbarrow access due to limited site access)
- Asset labelling in accordance with council requirements
- Relocation and reinstallation of the existing pedestrian counter and reflector
- Provision for future CCTV mounting and Energex lock installation
Furthermore, all systems were tested and commissioned by Q Power to ensure safe, compliant and reliable operation.
Community Impact of This Solar Lighting Installation Logan Project
This installation delivers practical, long-term benefits to the Carbrook community.
As a result of the upgrade, the park now benefits from improved safety and visibility, particularly during early morning and evening use. In addition, the off-grid solar design reduces ongoing energy consumption and operating costs.
The infrastructure has also been designed to accommodate future smart technology and CCTV integration. Therefore, the site remains adaptable as council infrastructure evolves.
Overall, this project demonstrates Q Power’s continued capability in delivering solar lighting installation Logan solutions for councils and public infrastructure across the region.
