Q Power (Qld) Pty Ltd recently completed a Fairy Lighting Installation Logan project at the Forestdale & Paradise Roundabout for Logan City Council. This installation enhances the visual appeal of the precinct while maintaining safe, compliant electrical infrastructure within a live traffic environment.

Fairy Lighting Installation Logan – Project Scope

Our team delivered a complete supply and installation package, including infrastructure upgrades to support the new decorative lighting system.

The scope included:

Recovery of existing cable and existing pillar
Installation of a new pillar and concrete plinth with collar
Supply and installation of a 24V LED driver at the switchboard near Pole
Installation of new circuit protection for the driver
Installation of Firefly 5W Golden Warm White LED fairy lighting
Quick-connect sockets, extension cables and multi-outlet connections
Extra-low voltage cabling and earthing
Installation using UV-rated bungee cord in a stretch-and-grow layout
Traffic permits and Traffic Guidance Scheme (TGS)
Traffic control for roundabout works
Testing, commissioning and handover documentation

The fairy lighting was wrapped from ground level to outer branches as permitted by the allocated 100m quantity. Furthermore, the system was configured to operate via timer control, switching on at 5pm and off at 5am.

Because works occurred within a roundabout environment, traffic management and safety coordination were critical. Our team carefully sequenced installation activities to ensure minimal disruption while maintaining full compliance with council requirements.
