New Project Alert: Electrical Design & Construction for IVECO

Things are trucking along nicely for us here at Q Power – we’ve just kicked off an exciting electrical design and construction project at IVECO’s new home in Brisbane’s outer west.

If you’ve heard of IVECO, you may know that the truck manufacturer is one of the largest in the industry. A global company, IVECO is well established in many countries and still builds locally manufactured trucks and busses here in Australia today.

The company’s Brisbane-based operation, which opened in 2010, is not a production plant but a hub of sales and servicing for their entire range of commercial vehicles. Originally based in Rocklea, IVECO Brisbane seeks to drive up its presence in South East Queensland and decided that a bigger and better facility would help them to do just that.

That’s where our team comes in.

We’ve been brought on by our client Multi Span Australia to deliver the full electrical design and construction of IVECO’s new facility in Wacol.

Though it may be ‘new’ to IVECO, this facility was in fact first constructed by Multi Span in 2002. Now, we’re helping to transform the space into a state-of-the-art facility through a major refurbishment and expansion.

As it is now, the property sits on 2.2ha and has about 7,000sq metres of warehousing, office, and service facilities, which we’ll be helping to expand.

Working close with Multi Span Australia, we’ll be involved in the construction of a new car park, undercover vehicle drop-off area and extended parts store warehouse. We’ll also be upgrading LED, exit and emergency lighting as well as power to suit the new IVECO design.

Once again, we’re enthused to be working with Multi Span Australia on a state-of-the-art facility upgrade and can’t wait to see the results.
