We’re thrilled to introduce the newest addition to our team, Olivia, who recently joined us straight out of school as an apprentice. Olivia comes to us with a passion for learning and a long-held ambition to pursue an electrical apprenticeship.
Olivia’s journey began with a keen interest in technology and a desire to pursue a career where she could make a difference. After aspiring to become an electrician, Olivia’s dream finally became a reality when she joined Q Power as an apprentice.
Prior to joining Q Power, Olivia was referred to us by our friends at NAWIC (National Association of Women in Construction), who recognised her potential and passion for the electrical trade. In addition to her professional pursuits, Olivia enjoys coaching netball, playing touch football, and supporting the Broncos. She’s also an avid supporter of the Broncos and hopes to attend the grand final in October if they are successful.
Olivia has quickly become an integral part of our team, establishing excellent rapport with her fellow workers. Her super keen attitude and willingness to tackle any task with a positive mindset have already made a significant impact on our projects. Olivia’s dedication to learning and her positive attitude are evident from day one. We look forward to supporting Olivia as she continues to excel in her apprenticeship with us.
Co-owner Natalie Walsh, an electrician with over 25 years of industry experience, has been the driving force behind getting a female apprentice on board. Natalie expresses her enthusiasm, stating, ‘After years of effort, I am thrilled, delighted, and immensely proud to welcome Olivia to our team.’ Natalie’s dedication to fostering diversity and providing opportunities for aspiring electricians like Olivia is commendable. Her experience and guidance will undoubtedly contribute to Olivia’s growth and success in the electrical trade.
