Apprentice Ben Chapman joins the Q Power family

We’re happy to introduce the newest member of our team Ben Chapman, who joined us as an adult apprentice in January this year.

We’ve brought Ben on board to help support us as our business grows, and we’re pleased to be able to support his growing career at the same time.

Ben’s career so far has seen him in the green check uniform at Woolies, through a successful seven-year stint in the asphalt industry, assisting customers at OneSteel, and working several different roles in construction – his favourite being that of an electrical trade assistant on two major projects in central Queensland.

It was on these projects that Ben got his first taste of the electrical industry and quickly realised it was exactly where he wanted to be. This prompted him to reach out to us to begin his first ever apprenticeship.

His only wish was that he’d done this sooner – but hey, better late than never. Ben’s already proving to be an asset to our growing team; his determination and quality workmanship is already very clear to all of us.

“We are excited to be at a stage where we can again contribute to our industry by taking on a full-time apprentice,” our Director Lewis Wells said today.

“Ben is the second apprentice that Q Power has taken on and we are extremely pleased with his attitude and performance so far. We’ll be working hard to ensure he gets exposure to both our electrical contracting and gate automation divisions in order to give him a well-rounded training experience.”

When he’s not hard at work, Ben loves camping, spending time with his three children and lovely wife, and he’s a bit of a soccer fan (though he’s still getting used to how much harder playing an entire game has become…)

Welcome, Ben!
